Ingredients for making homemade dumplings

Cooking homemade dumplings:

Step 1: Preparing the meat.

Pork and beef, if frozen, must be thawed slowly. Then they need to be washed with running cold water, cut into medium-sized pieces so that they can be rolled in a meat grinder. Peel the onion, wash and crush the garlic press.

Step 2: Step 2: Make minced meat.

Grind the prepared meat with a meat grinder or a blender, add crushed onions to it, pour milk, salt, pepper and mix thoroughly (you can use your hands). Stuffing should not be viscous or too thin.

Step 3: Step 3: Cook the dough.

In a teapot, boil water, pour 1 cup boiling water into a large bowl, put 1 teaspoon of salt. Then gradually pour the flour, mix everything with your hands. Knead the dough while it is liquid in a bowl, then transfer it to a large wooden board sprinkled with flour and knead with your hands until a homogeneous, viscous, dry mass is formed.

Step 4: Step 4: Make dumplings.

The dough should be cut with a knife into approximately 4 equal parts. Each part needs to be rolled out with a rolling pin so that the dough is not too thin and too thick, as it can break. The size of the rolled dough should be slightly larger than the circle for modeling dumplings. On this circle we place rolled dough, in each hole you need to put a teaspoon of minced meat, cover with a second layer of dough and, after rolling with a pin with pressure on the resulting design, squeeze dumplings.

Step 5: Step 5: Cook the dumplings.

You need to turn the circle and get dumplings. We lay them on a large tray or a wide wooden board in one layer so that they do not stick together. Dumplings need to be cooked in batches. Pour water into a saucepan, bring it to a boil, salt, add bay leaf, black pepper and peas and put the first batch of 10 to 15 pcs. Dumplings must be constantly stirred, and when they come up, cook another 5 minutes. Also cook other batches.

Step 6: Step 6: Serve the homemade dumplings.

Dumplings are served hot, if they have cooled, then they are no longer subject to heating. Put the dumplings in a large bowl using a ladle with holes and put a piece of butter there, cover with a lid. Then they need to be laid out in portions, adding a spoonful of sour cream, mayonnaise or dumpling sauce. Good appetite!

- - If during the modeling of dumplings using a circle, the dough is broken, you can roll out a small piece of dough and glue it.
