Salad "Forest Tale"


Ingredients for the preparation of the salad "Forest Fairy Tale"

Cooking Forest Fairytale Salad:

Step 1: prepare the meat.

Rinse the chicken fillet under running water, dry it with paper kitchen towels, lay on a cutting board, cut off the hymen, cartilage and small bones, if any. Then turn the stove on to the middle level and put on it a large pan half full of ordinary running water, add salt to taste and bring the liquid to a boil. After lowering the chicken into the pan and cook it for 30 - 35 minutes until ready. During cooking, remove the foam that will form on the surface of the broth with a slotted spoon. After the required time has passed and when the meat reaches full readiness, remove the fillet from the pan using the same slotted spoon, and put it in a deep plate. Allow the meat ingredient to cool completely. Then lay the chicken on a chopping board and cut into medium-sized cubes with an approximate diameter of up to 3 centimeters. Transfer the pieces of meat back into the deep plate in which it was previously located.

Step 2: prepare the vegetables.

Now it's the turn of vegetables, and in particular potatoes. In this recipe, it is already boiled, but if you did not have time to cook it then this should be done simultaneously with the chicken. Peel the boiled potatoes, lay on a cutting board, cut into a medium cube with an approximate diameter up to 1.5 centimeters and put in a separate deep plate. Cut the peel from a fresh cucumber, rinse it under running water, dry it with paper kitchen towels, lay it on a cutting board, cut into slices with an approximate thickness up to 6 - 7 millimeters and put in a separate plate. Use a canned wrench to open a can of corn, sweet pickled bell peppers and pickles. Drain the marinade from the corn, and place the required amount of bell pepper and pickles alternately on a cutting board and chop. Diced pepper with approximate diameter up to 2 centimeters, and cut the cucumber into a small cube with an approximate diameter up to 1 centimeter. Rinse parsley and green onions under running water, shake excess water over the sink, lay on a cutting board and chop finely. Arrange the ingredients in separate plates, and leave the greens lying on a cutting board.

Step 3: mix the ingredients.

Put potatoes, fresh cucumber, corn, pickled peppers, pickled cucumbers in a deep, dry salad bowl and lightly mix the mass with a tablespoon. Then add chicken fillet, parsley and chives to all the ingredients. All ingredients are assembled, now you need high-quality mayonnaise.

Step 4: dress and decorate the salad.

In the salad bowl, add the necessary amount of mayonnaise to all the ingredients, gently mix the mass with a tablespoon and then add the salt with black pepper to taste. Re-mix the salad, let it brew for at least 15 to 20 minutes and decorate it as you like best. For decoration, you can use any products that you like. For example, boiled eggs, greens, lettuce, corn, fresh tomato.

Step 5: serve the Forest Fairy Tale Salad.

Forest Fairy Tale Salad is served at room temperature in a salad bowl. Its design depends on your taste. You can lay it in a deep rectangular shape, grease the surface with mayonnaise and decorate with eggs, olives, pickled peas and herbs. You can decorate it with boiled carrots and herbs. A rather tasty combination is lingonberry or fresh radish. Not a bad option is olives, olives and fresh tomato. Or such a fairly simple version of pickled straws, embossed pickled peppers and herbs. - - If you didn’t have time to cook the potatoes in their skins in advance, it doesn’t matter, just rinse the potatoes under running water, from various kinds of contaminants, put it in a deep pan, fill it with water so that it is 5-6 cm above its level and put capacity, on a plate included in the middle level. Cook potatoes for 20 to 25 minutes until cooked. Then remove the root vegetables from the pan and transfer to a deep bowl. Allow the potatoes to cool, peel and use as directed.
